I am an avid reader - and always looking for ways to improve my work life. One of the questions I am asking myself now - is

It Doesn’t Have to Be Crazy at Work, by Jason Fried

is pretty eye opening stuff! He says some wild things like - don’t set goals (I hate goal setting!) work a 40 hour work week when you are busy, and a 32 hour week in the off season. Choose calm. Pay your staff well and let them do their thing.

Alot of this message really resonates with me - but is counter to the workaholic - type a - busy working culture that is celebrated in our economy right now.

Can we choose another path

and still be profitable?

I am up for a social experiment - how about you?

This is a great read for someone who is looking to change the way their studio functions socially, or is hiring the wrong type of staff. It is a brand new day.
